From street roots to screen, the artist turns his origin story into a bold visual statement

ZAA Nurty is stepping into documentary mode with WLZA (With Love, ZAA Always), and he is keeping it raw, local, and intentional. The forthcoming mini documentary traces his beginnings in Oshodi, the neighbourhood that doubled as his first audience and testing ground.
Directed and edited by Sheifunmi Yusuf and produced by ZAA alongside Cold Summer Records, WLZA is built on facts, not fantasy. It focuses on his early life, his environment, and the community that shaped his sound and identity.

To set the tone, ZAA has released behind the scenes footage from the project. It offers a closer look at the making of the documentary, the people involved, and the energy of Oshodi itself. No filters, no overproduction, just process and place.
This is not just another artist documentary. It is a homecoming on camera. For a generation obsessed with curated personas, ZAA is choosing context over clout. He is not just showing where he is going, he is showing exactly where he is from.
