Victoria Monét is turning up the heat. Her new album, Frequency Of Love, arrives October 2, and the newly revealed 22 songs tracklist looks like an R&B group chat with a Grammy budget.

The lineup is serious. SZA, Bruno Mars, Bryson Tiller, Leon Thomas, Chlöe and Lucky Daye all appear, while Monét’s daughter Hazel joins her on “You Mean The World To Me.” The album follows Monét’s Grammy winning Jaguar II, the 2023 project that gave us “On My Mama” and cemented her transition from elite songwriter to fully fledged solo star.

Melodically, Frequency Of Love appears ready to keep things fluid. “Let Me” topped Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart, while “Reach Out” leans into house and “Juicy” reportedly channels yacht rock. Monét has also previously described the new album as more rooted in ’90s R&B.

Then there are the titles. “Single” featuring Bryson Tiller. “See You In My Dreams” featuring SZA. “That’s Why I Love You” featuring Bruno Mars. “I Want You.” “You Hurt Me Too.” This is not a tracklist. This is somebody’s situationship diary with production credits.

With a 27-city North American tour beginning October 27, Monét is clearly building an entire world around the record. Love is the frequency. Monét just turned the volume all the way up.
